Welcome

Welcome to the South Central Friesian Horse Association (SCFHA) website. We are a chapter of the Friesian Horse Association of North America (FHANA). FHANA is the North American affiliate of the Dutch Friesian studbook (KFPS) Koninklijke Vereniging Het Friesch Paarden-Stamboek, est. in 1879. Though our members are mainly in Texas, SCFHA includes members in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Mississippi, Louisiana, Kansas and Arkansas. In addition our membership is open to Friesian lovers anywhere. The SCFHA will abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the FHANA.

SCFHA Goals
Our chapter was established in March of 2005 for the purpose of promoting the KFPS pure bred Friesian horse, education, recreation and sharing our common love of the Friesian horse.

Pam Crown Jan 24, 2012

It's with heavy hearts that we send out this newsletter. As some of you may know, our dear friend, Friesian horse enthusiast, and SCFHA Board Member, Pam Crown, passed away on January 9th, following health complications after a riding accident that happened before Christmas. We will all miss Pam's humor, kindness, and enthusiasm. Pam was an integral part of SCFHA's success - she loved the friendships she built and never hesitated to help out in the biggest or smallest ways.

Pam's family would like to extend an invitation to SCFHA members to attend a celebration of her life on Sunday, February 19th at 1:00 p.m. at the Crown home in Weatherford. More details to follow.

As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Fenway Foundation to honor her memory and her commitment to Friesian horses.

SCFHA Annual General Meeting Jan 29, 2012

01-29-2012 ~ SCFHA Annual General Meeting to be held at Paul and Julee Kula's home. We will gather at 12:00, have some refreshments and then get down to business.
